Today, between errands and rainstorms, I went to Bryant Park to rest. Expecting to have to dry one of those little green chairs, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a few larger rocking chairs around ‘wichcraft.

Upon closer inspection, I found many more rocking chairs than expected. They were accompanied by cushions, tables and a porch swing. What is this place? I discarded the soaked seat cushion covering a surprisingly dry rocking chair. And there it was, on the table, a message from Southwest Airlines. Celebrating their new service to/from LaGuardia, they’ve created this space for our enjoyment. Ah, marketing. I really love it.

Almost as much as I love this space. There is hibiscus approximately 5 feet away from me as I rock myself to almost sleep. Who doesn’t love hibiscus? This is great. I hope it lasts forever. Excuse me while I treat myself to a Pellegrino Limonata. Photos to follow.
