I have flown in first class few times and honestly believe that it’s nice but not always worth the additional costs. Perhaps that’s because my experience in first class has been domestic flights. Bigger, leather seats. Complimentary champagne. Blah blah blah. Ok, truth be told, I’m not saying blah blah blah to free champagne. As a girl who can, and does, fall asleep anyplace, anytime, anyhow and wake up feeling rested and bubbling with energy, if I’m flying domestic, an hour nap in coach or first class is all pretty much the same to me.

I will confess that I have longed to fly first class internationally on one of what I call “The Big Three:” British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates – I’ve heard wonderful rumors. For example, is it true that on British Airways they bring around a roast? I don’t even eat beef but it just sounds lovely, and someday soon that will be my reality. Can a girl dream?

Well, today my Big Three became The Big Four when I found out that Jet Airways gives you a room of your own in first class with louvered doors, open tops revealing star-like lights on the ceiling, and a choice between Dom PĂ©rignon or Krug. Omg. It’s sounds like a dream come true.
