I often take the process of strategic seat analysis for overnight flights into my own hands. For the first time, I decided to use the websites: seatguru.com, seatexpert.com.
Here’s what they have to say [paraphrasing]: Good seats with lots of legroom and no one reclining into you. The proximity of the lavatories can be bothersome as people may congregate. It can be cold by the exit row.
Here’s what I have to say: Hm. Was this actually helpful? When I chose my seats, I used the seating map and could see the proximity to the lavatory and that it was an exit row seat. For those reasons, I chose it. Other than the exact seat measurements, I think all the information they gave me was pretty standard/I knew it already.
Sooo, not too sure I need to use these sites again. Oh, and seatexpert couldn’t find my flight, I had to chose based on the aircraft number.

I have to admit I have never used the sites that you mention. I always, but always believe in the aisle seat. It is crucial to have that one side that is not squished between two other strangers. You do sometimes get a beverage cart into the shoulder, but definitely better than any other window seat or gez a middle seat between two brickering married people.
Thanks for the post!
